Calming Park and the multi-platinum, award winning singer/songwriter Melody Gardot introduce the “MG” line, heralding the beginning of their collaboration.
Candles have always been part of Melody’s relaxation kit.
A 75 grams mini version of the Calming Park “Fig - Bamboo” candle has been chosen by Melody Gardot at the occasion of her summer tour 2010 to be part of the tour-merchandising.
A limited edition of the candle, very suitable for nomad jet-setters, will be available for purchase as of June 15th, 2010 in Los Angeles during Melody Gardot’s concert at the El Rey Theatre.
At first, the “MG” Fig-Bamboo candles will be exclusively available for purchase during Melody’s concerts.
The packaging and labeling of the candle contains a monogram with the initials of the singer and was conceived by Melody Gardot in collaboration with Olivier Rohrbach/Calming Park. It reflects the chic black and white style that bespeaks the music and hushed universe of Melody.
The Fig-Bamboo scent is composed of fresh notes, blending manicured grass, green fig and soothing calming bamboo leaves.

At this year Baselworld, the world's leading watches and jewellery fair due in Basel-Switzerland, on March 18–25 2010, CALMING PARK teams up with Maurice Lacroix.
This year the three-storey stand of Maurice Lacroix at Baselworld undergoes a perfumed makeover, as it will be wrapped in its entirety by the scent of the CALMING PARK candle Fig-Bamboo.
The Fig-Bamboo candle will also be presented as a giveaway to all attendees of the cocktail organized by Maurice Lacroix in collaboration with Wallpaper* to launch the joint project of the remodelled «Pontos Décentrique GMT».
Maurice Lacroix is one of the last few independent Swiss watch manufacturers. The company was founded in 1975, and it is renowned for the intricacy of the watches and the attention to detail in both watch movement and designs. The «Pontos» is one of the seven families of watches produced by Maurice Lacroix.

While flowers assorted our most important moment in life: from birth and romance to marriage and procreating, there is only one comparable modern-day object that mystically embodies the same symbolism: scented candles.
In a noisy world where a new awareness is arising, scented candles have become a companion in our most fulfilling and luxurious quest: stillness and calm.
Calming Park presents from February 5th – 20th 2010 the exhibition “Art & Candle” at Holm, Zürich. A selection of CALMING PARK candles will be available for purchase in the boutique.
